I started writing music when I was in my second year audio engineering at M.A.I.N.Z and as soon as I finished my diploma bought my first recording set-up so I could write music at home.

Since then the music has evolved but my way of working is still the same. Come up with the basic structure of beats and instrumentation, and then just jam and freestyle over the top. Most of my tracks feature other vocalists and musicians.
The sound is Electronica, with acoustic elements. Music that has influenced me is Lali Puna, Bran Van 3000, Tosca, 50Hz to mention a few.
The name Tonemeister incorporates the german word "tonmeister" meaning sound engineer, and includes the (e) to create a more phonetic spelling and link the name more to the english "tone".
