Scrummy apple crumble

This is a mixture of various crumble recipes including special hints from my mother.

ingredients

Apples (enough to fill your dish 2/3 full)
Sultanas, raisins and/or currants
zest of an orange
====== TOPPING INGREDIENTS:=======
100gms oats
100gms wholemeal spelt flour
60gms caster sugar
100gmmargarine
pinch of cinnamon

Method

core the apples and peel if you feel.
slice into segments.
lay the apples in an ovenproof dish.
sprinkle with sultanas/raisins to taste.
mix in the zest of one orange.
Next make the topping:
Mix together topping ingredients in a bowl and spread evenly over the apples. Do not press down like my girlfriend did or it becomes a different dish entirely.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180C for approx 30-40 mins. It is very forgiving and i usually chuck it in with whatever else is cooking and cover the top with tin foil to stop it burning.
If you do this always remember to take the foil off 10-15 mins before serving to allow the crumble topping to crisp and crunch up.
